1) To change the camera to shutter priority you simply just turn the dial to the S symbol.
2) It either turns out really focused on the people that are in motion or it comes out kind of blurry. 3) The best situations to use shutter priority is when you want to capture something that's in motion and get it focused. 4) Shutter speeds - are both a technical and aesthetic choice a photographer needs to make before releasing the shutter The shutter inside your camera controls the duration of time the sensor is exposed to light Capturing blur or motion in your photograph can emphasize movement and add drama A fast shutter speed is often utilized to freeze the movement of a subject A slower shutter speed can be used to show motion and visualize movement Shutter speeds are expressed as seconds or fractions of seconds As a general rule to prevent unintentional camera shake you should avoid handholding your digital cameras at shutter speeds slower than ½ x focal length Using a tripod can help eliminate camera shake when using slower shutter speeds The visual blur and suggestion of movement occurs because the subject is moving against a static background Layering motion of different subjects moving different directions at different speeds can set up interesting dynamics within a photograph Fast shutter speeds can make normal subjects appear to freeze in the air When photographing people running relatively close to the camera a shutter speed of 1/1000 second or faster should freeze most motion The distance the subject is from the camera, the speed of the subject, and the focal length of the lens will affect whether the subjects is sharp or blurred Slow shutter speeds combined with panning can help isolate the subject from a busy and distracting background Water movement can be emphasized with long exposures

A) Invented by Louis-Jaques-Mande Daguerre and was introduced worldwide in 1839. B) The process involved using camera obscura and a highly polished silver plate and then mercury vapor to give the finishing touches of the picture. C) A) Sir John Herschel discovered the procedure in 1842.
B) The chemicals involved in the cyanotype process are potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate. C) First, we took our negative and put a yellow piece of paper on one side and on the other side we put a piece of glass and pushed the two together. Then we exposed it to the sun for about 5 minutes and after that we dipped it into a tub of water that was mixed with hydrogen peroxide. After you let the picture soak in the water for about a minute, you can take it out and it should look bright blue. This is the all mighty and powerful empire that rules the world. It is ran by three vicious beasts known as the Arctic Wrath (middle), the Arid Glob (right), and the Copper Sun Runner (left). Below them is their cold-blooded army of minions that fight in the name of the empire. For the last decade no one has challenged their power for they are too strong and monstrous. The only human beings that survived the attack were all the babies. The only reason why they spared their lives was that so they can raise them up to be their slaves. Therefore, all the infants were sent to the Forbidden Prison. There's only one way in and one way out, their chances of escaping are nearly zero. You would literally have to open the door for them to escape. However, no matter how impossible it seemed, the babies had a plan to get out. They dressed themselves up as animals like that they don't look like babies anymore. Then, when the minions come to check up on them they will pretend to be animals in hope of getting the minions to open the door and release them. Since there would be no point in keeping animals if the human babies escaped. "Hey why are there animals in the prison...Where are the human babies? Inform the rulers that the babies have escaped immediately! What should we do with these animals sergeant? Open the gates and let them go, they're of no good use to us. Roger that sergeant." "Hey Arctic Wrath look at those animals walking over there. That's funny, I haven't seen animals like them in a very long time Copper Sun Runner. Hey the minions have just told me that the human babies have escaped the Forbidden Prison. We'll worry about that later Arid Glob, for now let's just enjoy the view of walking animals. I mean its not like the babies are going to get far.
In the first picture the middle box is focused while the other two are kind of blurred out and in the second picture the first box is focused while the other two are kind of blurry and last but not least, the final picture has all three boxes focused. The aperture is what controls the change in depth of field of the picture. The bigger the number the smaller the aperture so if you had f/16 you're going to have more area of space focused in while a smaller aperture such as f/1.8 will give you a less amount of space focused in the picture.
Dslr stands for digital single lens reflex A dslr is a digital camera that uses mirrors to direct light from the lens to the viewfinder Exposure is the amount of light collected by the sensor in your camera during a single picture Too much light equals washed out and not enough light equals too dark The three primary controls your camera uses for exposure are aperture, shutter speed, and ISO Aperture is a hole within a lens, through which light travels into the camera body In photography, aperture is expressed in f-numbers These f-numbers that are known as f-stops are a way of describing the size of the aperture, or how open or closed the aperture is Small apertures increase the depth of field, bringing both the main subject and background into focus Large apertures soften background details Shutter speed, also known as exposure time, stands for the length of time a camera shutter is open to expose light into the camera sensor If the shutter speed is fast, it can help to freeze action completely If the shutter speed is slow, it can create an effect called motion blur, where the moving objects appear blurred along the direction of the motion Shutter speeds are typically measured in fractions of a second, when they are under a second The slowest shutter speed for handheld photography is 1/60 Anything lower than that should either be on a tripod or on a straight, solid surface Any slower handheld shutter speed begins to get motion blur and your photograph may be out of focus ISO is the level of sensitivity of your camera to available light The lower the ISO number, the less sensitive it is to the light, while a higher ISO number increases the sensitivity of your camera The component within your camera that can change sensitivity is called image sensor or simply sensor With increased sensitivity, your camera sensor can capture images in low-light environments without having to use a flash But higher sensitivity comes at an expense - it adds grain or noise to the pictures Bright and sunny, 100 iso Cloudy, 250 iso Indoors, 500 iso Night time without a flash, 1600 iso M-Manual control over aperture and shutter A-Aperture priority S-Shutter priority P-Camera sets shutter speed and aperture Have the camera strap around your neck at all times Hold the camera by the lens and hand grip if possible- treat with careCamera obscura is a technique used to cast a shadow of something like that we can trace it. The word itself comes from greek, meaning light drawing. The method involves using a dark room and a little hole that allows for a minimum of light to come in like that we can see a shadow of whatever is on the other side of the room. For the most part the shadow will be upside down but you can modify the technique to where you use a mirror and make come up straight. This made it easy for artists to trace the outline of literally anything they want because even it was really out of proportion they could use a device which would trace an exact copy of the image in a smaller size by the use of levers.
When this picture was taken I was on top of the baseball shed at Rancho Buena Vista High School. The reason why I took it there was because high school has been an awesome experience that I’m never going to forget. I technically grew up at Rancho Buena Vista since they’ve helped me throughout the transition between childhood into adulthood. I’m very thankful for the opportunities that this school has given me.
As far as the picture itself, I used a couple filters and edits to manipulate the image. First I inserted a filter that framed my picture. Then, I added a filter called HDR scape to make the picture a little bit more vibrant with the colors. After that, I transformed the image by changing its vertical perspective to the right. Finally, I used a filter called healing which allowed me to blur the picture in certain areas and make multiples of me. |
